Our teachers are playing from Towson, MD to New Orleans, LA this weekend!
Uncategorized No Comments »This weekend Fred Moss, our guitar teacher extraordinaire, is performing in Rehoboth Beach, DE with Onyx. The talented Ian Trusheim is playing tonight, Friday, May 11th, with Brooks Long & The Mad Dog No Good, at The Greene Turtle in Towson, from 9PM-1AM. Last, but not least, our Music Workshop jazz god and piano teacher, Lafayette Gilchrist, will be representing Baltimore tonight, down in New Orleans, at Tipitina’s, in the Treme vs. The Wire Battle of the Bands to benefit the Tipitina’s Foundation! “http://tipitinas.com/show.asp?id=201205110″>
When it comes to moms, The Music Workshop has the best! We know that, in general, moms make the decisions about music lessons. This year, to show our appreciation for choosing The Music Workshop, we are having a drawing (all moms of currently registered students are automatically entered) for an afternoon at The Spa at The Four Seasons! Your day will include a pampering Advanced Manicure and Pedicure with a glass of champagne (all taxes and gratuities included)! The winner will be notified on Saturday, May 12th!
Spring has sprung in Towson this weekend, May 4-6th! The March winds blew in with a fantastic concert at the Recher Theatre. All Time Low bassist, Zack Merrick, a former Music Workshop student, even dropped by to check out the show!
There weren’t any April showers last weekend when our bands rocked the house at Zen West; a perfect day all around! The bands sounded great, the Tex-Mex food hit the spot and the crowd was in high spirits.
Now that the weather’s cooperating, it’s time to play outdoors. The Music Workshop will be sponsoring a free concert, Lafayette Gilchrist, Eric Kennedy & Friends, at this year’s Towson Town Festival, on the Urbanite Oasis Stage, from 2:15-3:15PM. The “friends” are The Music Workshop’s incredible Ian Trusheim on bass, the “Master of Funk” Fred Moss on guitar and our very own jazz prodigy, 15 yr. old Christopher Frick on keyboards, you WON’T want to miss this jazz powerhouse performance!
Check out The Music Workshop this weekend and enter our drawing for 12 FREE, private music lessons this summer (new students only). Our table will be by the Z104.3 Sound Stage, so stop by, enter and pick up a Music Workshop recycling bag (while supplies last). We have a great line up of bands to keep the party going all weekend, so come on out!
