Experienced Instruction from Professional Musicians

Music is a journey. Our well-educated staff has traveled down every road in the industry.

  • Twenty-two years of proven results at The Music Workshop.
  • National studies show the disciplines learned in music help with better grades.
  • According to Suzanne Hanser, Chair of the Music Therapy department at Berklee College of Music in Boston, “Music-making is linked to a number of health benefits for older adults. Research shows that making music can lower blood pressure, decrease heart rate, reduce stress, and lessen anxiety and depression. There is also increasing evidence that making music enhances the immunological response, which enables us to fight viruses.”
  • Fun is good!

We teach many genres of music at The Music Workshop: classical, country, jazz, pop, rock and theater. Tell us what instrument and style interests you, and we’ll select the right teacher to take you where you want to go, musically.

Individual Lessons: thirty minutes or one hour lessons

The Music Workshop emphasizes private instruction because music is very personal and people learn differently. Our experienced teachers evaluate each student’s strengths and challenges to develop a lesson plan tailored for the individual student. Our students are offered a solid foundation in the music fundamentals: ear training, scales, sight reading, technique and theory to achieve proficiency in their instrument
